THE UNI-BELL PVC PIPE ASSOCIATION'S GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING THE AWWA C900-16 STANDARD

C900-16 is more complicated than most standards, primarily because it has absorbed the large-diameter sizes previously found in the C905 standard. AWWA C900 STANDARD

In 2007, AWWA C900 PVC Pressure Standards were changed to reflect data retrieved from over 30 years experience with PVC pipe products in municipal applications, current research on PVC performance, as well as to harmonize various PVC pressure pipe standards. This article explains the new pressure classes of DR14-305 psi, DR18-235 psi and DR25-165 psi PVC pipe products. Pipe wall thicknesses and outside dimensions stayed the same with this change.
