Sample Specifications for PVC Water and Sewer Pipes

The Uni-Bell PVC Pipe Association offers sample specifications for water and sewer pipes. Specifications are provided for three project types:

1. Potable water
2. Gravity sewer
3. Sewer forcemains

The specifications are offered in a layout similar to MasterFormat 2016, which is convenient to use, can be easily integrated into existing specifications, and includes helpful tips for both new and long-time PVC pipe specifiers. Designers can enter project-specific information into the sample PVC pipe specifications, reducing time and effort, as well as use them for updating master specifications.

These sample specifications are in MSWord format which streamlines the process of developing new internal specifications or updating existing ones. The model specs also include up-to-date references to ASTM and AWWA standards (for example, the larger sizes of AWWA C900 pipe). Also included is helpful information on the design, manufacturing, and installation of PVC pipe.
