Welcome to John’s Blog. Answers to frequently asked questions are periodically posted here. The objective is to share information about PVC pipe with readers as well as with utilities, design engineers and pipe installers. The blog provides the latest information on PVC pipe design, installation, and application for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

PVC Pipe Standards Sheets - A Valuable Resource

Posted By John Houle on Feb 21, 2013

PVC Pipe Standards Sheets

PVC Pipe Association (PVCPA) standards sheets are one of the Association's key resources. Each sheet provides an overview of available PVC pipe products. Included are the applicable standards as well as size ranges, material cell classes, and joining-system types. The pressure-pipe sheets also provide outside-diameter regimens and pressure classes/ratings, while the gravity-sewer sheet includes pipe stiffness values for both solid-wall and profile-wall pipes.

Here is a list of available standards sheets:

  • PVC Pressure Pipe Standards for Water Mains
  • PVC Non-Pressure Pipe Standards for Gravity Sewer
  • PVC Pressure Pipe Standards for Sewer Force Mains
  • PVC Pressure Pipe Standards for Reclaimed Water

Some might not realize the extent of the size ranges available: PVC pressure, gravity solid-wall and profile-wall pipes are all available are up to 60-inch.
